The start..

Before coming here, I have had a master degree and nice job in Taiwan. I work hard and enjoy my life per day per year. One day, however, I feel my life is so boring and nothing can interest me any more in my country. Finally, I choose to enter UMD to start my new life in the United States.

UMD is really a good place and my best choice, not only because it is the neighborhood of Washington D.C., the capital of U.S.A., but also for it is the best university in MD and Top20 in the nation.

Woops, I almost forget to tell you what my name is. My name is Yu-Hung Wang and you can call me Phillip also. I am used to be called Phillip with my American friends indeed. I hope everyone will have a good time here. Best wishes.

Welcome to the class, Yu-Hung! I hope you will attend every day from now on, participate fully, learn a lot of English, and get an outstanding score on the exit exam!

Ni hao, Yu-Hung (Phillip).

You're off to a good start with your blog. I look forward to seeing more the next time I visit.

I've been in Taiwan, but only in Taipei. I have especially good memories of a visit to the wonderful National Palace Museum and of the food I had. Everyone was also friendly and helpful to me, which was fortunate because I spoke only a few words in Mandarin and couldn't read ANYTHING!

I wish you success in your studies at UMD. I feel confident that you will learn a lot in Mrs. Liakos' class because I respect her greatly.

Best wishes!
